About the Programme

Anne Frank’s influence on the world from a leadership perspective is profound, though indirect. Her legacy transcends traditional leadership models, offering instead a form of moral and inspirational leadership through her words, resilience, and enduring impact on humanity.  Her timeless wisdom meets today's challenges.  Through Anne's words and contemporary discussion, you will gain fresh perspectives on empathy, justice, and the power of storytelling.  You will assess the reliability of Anne's diary as a historical source, her credibility as a writer, and learn from her global impact.

Session 1.1:  Anne Frank and her diary

  • Why is Anne Frank’s diary so accessible and timeless?

Session 1.2:  The secret annexe and why?

  • Enter the hiding place and what is most missed about the outside world

  • Declaration of Human Rights and critical thinking:  were the German people victims too?
     

Session 2.1:  Life in the secret annexe

  • Anne’s views of others in the annexe and make critical comparisons across texts

 

Session 2.2:  A child’s perspective or war

  • Debates and structure discussions about the issue between Anne and Fritz Pfeffer

 

Session 3.1:   What happened after the diary stopped?

  • The influence of Churchill’s speech and the perspective of another person in the secret annexe

  • Reflection about the impact of Anne’s diary and the betrayal to the Frank family


Session 3.2:   What can we learn from Anne Frank?

  • Thinking and discussion “Our lives are all different and yet the same.”
